Data deletion instructions

How to request deletion
These are the instructions for asking Counting LLC ("Counting AI," "we" or "us") to delete personal data we hold about you, including data we received from Meta (Facebook). You can complete the request from this page. There is no account to sign in to, and this page is not an automated callback.
1. Send an email to contact@counting.ai from an address where we can reply to you. The link opens a message with the subject line already filled in.
2. Use the subject line Data deletion request.
3. In the message, include every item listed under "What to include" below, and ask us to delete the personal data Counting AI holds about you, including data obtained from Meta.
4. Send the email. We reply to confirm that we received it and that we can match it to records we hold. If one detail is missing and we might otherwise delete the wrong person's data, we ask for that detail in the reply. We may ask you to confirm that you control the email address, or the Facebook account, before we delete.
What to include
Put the following in the email to contact@counting.ai:
- your full name;
- every email address we should search, including the address you are writing from;
- if you used Facebook Login, or if we received your data from Meta: your Facebook user ID or the web address of your Facebook profile, and the email address on that Facebook account;
- a short note on how you dealt with us, for example that you emailed us or that you used Facebook Login;
- this sentence: "Please delete the personal data Counting AI holds about me, including data obtained from Meta."
What we delete
When we can match your request to records we hold, we delete:
- your name, email address, organization and the contents of messages you sent us;
- account or profile information we stored about you, including data obtained from Meta, such as your Facebook user ID, name, profile picture, email address, and any other fields Meta provided under permissions you granted;
- copies of that same information held by service providers who process it for us.
We email you when the deletion is finished.
We do not delete a record the law requires us to keep, such as a transaction we must retain for tax or security. If that happens, we tell you what we kept and why, and we delete the rest of the data covered by your request.
What we do not hold
Counting AI processes resumes, job posts and related activity inside a client's own cloud, with that client's authorization. We do not keep that material as a database of our own. If you write about a resume or profile that a job board, staffing firm or employer holds, and we have no separate copy, we say so in our reply. You would then contact that company directly. We still delete any email you sent us and any Meta data we hold about you.
How long it takes
We complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming that we can identify your records. We send the confirmation to the email address you wrote from.
Removing the app on Facebook
You can also remove Counting AI on Facebook: open Settings and privacy, then Apps and websites (or the equivalent screen in Meta's settings), select Counting AI and remove it. Removing the app stops Meta from sharing new data with us. It does not automatically delete data we have already stored. To delete that data, send the email described on this page to contact@counting.ai.
